Messi Neymar Jr. and Suarez nominees for the UEFA Best Player in Europe Award The three members of the famous trident are among the ten players shortlisted for the prize by Messi in 2011 and Anista in 2012. The winner will be announced before the Champions League draw on August 27. Champions League winners Leo Messi Neymar Jr. and Luis Suarez have been shortlisted for the UEFA European Player of the Year award in Berlin. The three Barسa strikers have been named along with Buffon Pirlo Pogba Arturo Vodal and Tavis Juventus Hazard Chelsea and Cristiano Ronaldo Real Madrid.
The list will be limited to three names to be announced on August 12 before the overall winner will be announced in the Champions League group stage draw in Monaco on August 27. Leo Messi had already won the award in 2011 and Anders Iniesta did so a year later in 2012. Frank Ribery and Cristiano Ronaldo have won the last two editions of the award which is being presented for the fifth time this year.
