Anne-Marie Hansen has been appointed the new director of rights, headed by Zeus, who oversees the impressions of Zephyr Aria and Apollo Fiction. She will report to Bloomsburys Group Rights Director Stephanie Porcell and will work with rights director Claire Kennedy, who is responsible for Zeus Aries Apollo, head of non-fiction and Ad Astra lists. Hansen made the move at Oxford University Press, where she was head of children's rights and education. She has previously worked in the rights departments of several UK publishers, including Scholastic Pan Macmillan and Egmont.
I look forward to joining the House of Power, headed by Zeus and Bloomsbury, and looking forward to continuing to promote and build Claire Kennedy as well as the head of Zeus Profile and its authors globally. Purcell added that Anne-Marie has a lot of experience in publishing rights and an amazing track record. It marks a turning point in Zeus' history as we bring teams together and create common goals. Last year, the head of Zeus reorganized six audiences and gender-specific impressions, providing record-breaking years with growth in all business formats and markets. The highest growth in rights came with an 89% year-over-year increase in sales. Anne Mariez's knowledge experience and drive will help provide the full international potential of Zephyr Aria and Apollo Fiction impressions.
