But the reports were denied as organizers say nothing has been confirmed yet. According to respected reporter Don Ballen, Ronaldo has also spoken to Messi on the phone about the upcoming Ballon d'Or awards. Argentina believes that Ronaldo deserves the award this year and has expressed good wishes for him.
In response, Ronaldo believes that Messi will win the award next year because his outstanding performance in this year's campaign will definitely lead to a few titles for Barcelona. Brazilian legend Kaka, however, wants to see a new winner because he thinks his compatriot Neymar will surely win the award soon.
