Cristiano Ronaldo calls Lionel Messi over Ballon d'Or controversy!

With the Ballon d'Or ceremony on the horizon, Cristiano Ronaldo's fifth title is a favorite choice as he is expected to match Lionel Messi's record of five Ballon d'Ors in Portugal. It has been an extraordinary journey for the two football gods as the duo have won the title of the best player in the world over the past decade. Longtime rivals Messi and Ronaldo now share a passionate relationship that is born out of pure respect for each other. This was seen at the FIFA Awards a few weeks ago when Messi was seen smiling and applauding when Ronaldo went on stage to receive his award.

Recently, it was said that the results of the voting for the upcoming Ballon d'Or award were leaked in which Messi had apparently won the title ahead of Ronaldo. But the reports were denied as organizers say nothing has been confirmed yet. According to respected reporter Don Ballen, Ronaldo has also spoken to Messi on the phone about the upcoming Ballon d'Or awards. Argentina believes that Ronaldo deserves the award this year and has expressed good wishes for him.

In response, Ronaldo believes that Messi will win the award next year because his outstanding performance in this year's campaign will definitely lead to a few titles for Barcelona. Brazilian legend Kaka, however, wants to see a new winner because he thinks his compatriot Neymar will surely win the award soon. Football is not an accurate science so it is difficult to predict what will happen in the future, but I would say that after Cristiano and Messi, the next winner of the Ballon d'Or, Neymar Kaka, told the Colombian media outlet El Espectador.
