Bernie Ecclestone goes after Lewis Hamilton again and brings up the issue of Mercedes money

Bernie Ecclestone again targeted Lewis Hamilton when Burt questioned why the game's former names were offered a platform to share negative feedback. Hamilton's comments were echoed by three-time world champion Nelson Packett in a recent interview from 2021, calling it racial slurs.

But Ecclestone, who gained notoriety for speaking out against the 37-year-old Mercedes star, was among those who defended the packet. He said Nelson would definitely not go out of his way to say anything bad. The word neguinho may not be appropriate for us, but it is probably not a terrible thing to happen if you say it in Brazil. During a memorable British Grand Prix weekend, Hamilton dismissed the pundits of Piquet and Ecclestones as irrelevant in their request to provide more opportunities to the younger, more diverse generation.

In the last two weeks, I don't think there's ever been a day when someone who hasn't been involved in our game for decades has been saying negative things, and Hamilton hasn't tried to bring me down by explaining. But I am still here and still standing strong. I focused on my work and emphasized diversity and participation in my sport.
