Like many networks NBC will once again be turning over its primetime spots to a mix of reality staples such as Americas Got Talent and American Ninja Warrior and reruns of some of our favorite NBC series.
As such fans of Law and Order SVU will have to wait it out this summer to see what the next season will bring for Olivia Benson and her team. While the bad news is that weve got yet another long summer of waiting ahead the good news is that another season is coming and fans shouldnt have to wait too long for Law and Order SVU to kick off its 24th season!
Law and Order SVU season 24 release date updates
NBC has confirmed Law and Order SVU will remain part of its fall schedule again this season with season 24 set to debut this fall. It has also been confirmed that NBC will keep the Law and Order franchise magic going with Law and Order Thursdays! Across the night fans will be able to enjoy new episodes of Law and Order Law and Order SVU and Law and Order Organized Crime. At this time NBC has not set official premiere dates for the new seasons of its Law and Order dramas but we should see the seasons kick off sometime in late September 2022. Should NBC stick with a similar release schedule to the one we have seen in the past SVU season 24 could begin as early as Thursday Sept. 22 2022 or Thursday Sept. 29 2022.

FBI season 5 is not coming to CBS in June 2022
Fans hoping to see new episodes of FBI this summer are in for some disappointment as FBI season 5 will not be coming in June 2022. This might be disappointing news to discover but it shouldnt be too surprising as the series typically takes the summer off and airs news episodes between September and May. Still we understand this season has been a bit unique given the season 4 finale was pulled from the schedule and has not yet aired due to the episodes sensitive content.
While its possible CBS could air that episode sometime this summer its looking more likely that the episode will either never be aired or will air as part of season 5 — perhaps via a 2-part premiere event comprised of the season 4 finale and season 5 premiere.
FBI season 5 release date updates
Although a new season of FBI is not coming to CBS this summer a new season is on the way as FBI season 5 is happening and will be coming to CBS later this year. FBI will once again be returning to Tuesday nights this fall where it will yet again kick off CBSs FBI franchise night with new episodes airing alongside FBI International and FBI Most Wanted.
